We ship our parcels using Royal Mail and give you different delivery options. Orders above £30 in total value qualify for free shipping!

We currently only ship to the UK from the UK so there are no duties to be paid.

Our fulfilment centre works to send out orders by the next working day, so it then depends on the selected shipment option.

Please let us know via email at hello@karu.co and we will make sure to track the order or have a new one sent out to you.

Our system is automated so we might not get to the order before it is dispatched, but we will try our best if you reach out.

Our founder grew up in Brazil and has been enjoying Brazilian cashews her entire life. On the way back from a trip to Brazil she thought that everyone should be able to enjoy these superfood treats in their full natural flavours and that's how KARU was born!

All our roasted cashew nuts are hand roasted in the UK. 

• Cashews are not all equal, there are varying quality grades of cashews and at KARU we look to source the best quality nuts for you.
• There are also differences in preparation. Many cashew nuts get fried in oil, which means they lose their original flavour. We roast our nuts in their own oil to lock in those flavours and create a satisfying crunchy bite.

All our nuts are vegan! Even our KARU Cacao Cashews are made up of only four ingredients: quality cashew nuts, rich cacao powder, caramel and a hint of salt. Nothing more, nothing less -  just a high quality ingredients that create a delicious vegan sweet for everyone to enjoy!

• We are a London-based start-up with big dreams. We deliver KARU in the UK via our website (that you have already found!) and Amazon. We are also working on adding further sales channels.

We love the nature and everything in it, so we endeavoured to create a sustainable conscious brand that gives back (see here)! We are also aware that nature has given us these nutritious natural products and want to protect the forests where the cashews come from originally. We are looking to support organisations that protect these forest and their communities, so that as our brand grows a part of the benefit is given back.

Cashews are healthy and considered a superfood as they contain plant-based protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals. 

A superfood is a nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being. Cashews are a bonafide superfood as you will see below!

• Cashews are full of plant-based protein and fibre. Our range of nuts packs 14-18g of vegan protein per 100g.
• Cashews are rich in vitamins, such vitamin B6, E and K that are known to strengthen the nervous and immune systems and act as antioxidants.
• They also contain minerals such as magnesium, iron and phosphorus, which are nutrients important for energy production, brain health, immunity, and bone health (link).
• Cashews have one of the lowest fat contents of any nut, but do pack heart-healthy mono- and polyunsaturated fats, which are able to help lower cholesterol level (link).

Our cashews have 14-18g of plant-based protein per 100gm which is the same amount of protein as an equivalent quantity of meat. 

Cashews are a rich source of polyphenols and carotenoids — two classes of antioxidants that are beneficial plant compounds that keep your body healthy by neutralizing damage-causing molecules known as free radicals (link).
